A Metropolitan area is the sphere that has a strong relationship between downtown and suburbs. Also, there is some kindred area within the same Metropolitan area. Specifically, we estimate the Tokyo Metropolitan area using Anselinʼs Local Moranʼ s Index. As a result, we showed clearly that the Tokyo Metropolitan area is degenerating from 2000 to 2005.\nMoreover, we investigated change of the store location characteristic in this period.
